The goal of the EECS department at Washington State University is to equip students for technical careers and the ability to be productive citizens of the state and nation. The EECS department consistently ranks among the top 70 electrical and computer engineering schools in the nation. The facility is world class and home to several award winning professors. The program is ABET accredited and offers a comprehensive education. Hands-on experience are stressed and culminate in a senior design Capstone courses.
UW offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in computer science. The school is currently fundrasing to create an additional building for the computer science and engineering department on campus. The class sizes are small and student-teacher interaction is high. Students are able to participate in research projects and the course culminates with a capstone project.
